Overview :

Avid Healthcare Services is hiring Pharmacists to work at Sacramento County Facilities in Northern California. You will be responsible for the Dispensing or supervising the dispensation of medications and related supplies, according to physicians' prescriptions.

Position :

Pharmacist

Requirements :

• Current CA Pharmacy license
• Current CPR / BLS Certification
• Experience as a Pharmacist

Duties may include :

• Dispensing or supervising the dispensation of medications and related supplies
• Reviewing prescriptions for accuracy
• Checking for drug interactions
• Counseling patients regarding appropriate use of medications
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to plan, monitor, review, and evaluate patient effectiveness
• Recommending drug therapy changes when appropriate
• Ensuring the pharmacy complies with all local, state, and federal regulations
• Educating patients and staff on drug therapies

Shift

Days range from Monday-Sunday

• working NOC shifts 1800-0630, but training will be weekdays AM shift.

PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION IS IN A CORRECTIONAL FACILITY!

• 2 weekend days / month availability is required. (2 Saturdays, 2 Sundays or Sat / Sun)
• Scheduled days / shifts & location are based on the facility needs
• Both facilities are open seven (7) days a week.
• Your availability is one of the criteria's reviewed for consideration for this assignment
• Your availability is how your schedule is created based on needs of either facility location
• All candidates must be available to work days as specified on availability you submit.
• This position is per diem.
• No benefits are associated with this position.
