This 8,000-employee, post-IPO fintech (£1.2B FY25 revenue), which serves over 15.6 million active customers worldwide, is hiring a Presales Consultant to design scalable technical solutions for major financial institutions and fintechs adopting our platform. This is a hybrid role based in Austin, requiring 3–4 in-office days per week, with minimal travel.

Solution

Our client is redefining cross-border payments by replacing slow, expensive bank transfers with instant, low-cost, transparent money movement. Every month, we processes over £9–10B in transactions for individuals, businesses, and financial institutions worldwide.

Banks and fintechs embed our international payments infrastructure directly into their offerings—eliminating hidden fees and delays for their customers. Recent partnerships include Unicredit, Bank Mandiri, and Jenius, highlighting our ability to integrate with major global players and deliver secure, compliant, API-first solutions trusted across 70+ countries.

Role

  • Individual contributor role, reporting to the Senior Lead, Presales Engineering. Hybrid schedule (3–4 days in-office, Austin HQ). Minimal travel.
  • $180k to $205k+ base, plus RSUs and full benefits package.
  • Collaborate with BD teams to win strategic deals by shaping presales solution design, running technical workshops, building proofs of concept, and scoping integrations for enterprise and fintech clients.
  • Act as the trusted advisor to partners, translating complex business requirements into scalable API-first payment solutions.
  • Candidates must bring 2+ years of presales or solution engineering experience in payments, fintech, or API integrations, ideally with exposure to enterprise-scale projects.

    We are looking for a Presales Consultant to join our team in Austin and play a crucial role in winning sales opportunities by solving our partner's most complex problems. We'll look to you as a key contributor of the presales function within the North American region, helping achieve growth objectives while consulting closely with our product, sales, and delivery teams to design solutions that we can deliver efficiently and with quality.

    As a Presales Consultant, your success will be driven by an ability to understand customer requirements, showcase the platform value proposition, and earn the trust of key decision-makers.

    You will apply your expertise and product knowledge to design intelligent and scalable payment solutions for our prospective partners. This will require you to work cross-functionally to build strategies to successfully navigate complex sales cycles, deliver product demos, and lead compelling solution presentations. You should be equally comfortable in both a business and technical context, winning trust from both executive and engineering stakeholders.

    Your Mission

  • You will present our products and vision to executives & technical teams at FinTechs and strategic enterprise partners. Become their trusted advisor.
  • You will be accountable to drive revenue alongside the business development team, being a key stakeholder in the sales process from discovery and solution design through to implementation kickoff.
  • You will utilise a deep understanding of the platform products and the payments domain to tailor solutions for partners, finding a match between our technology and their requirements.
  • You will work on sales collateral, demos, proof of concepts, RFPs, and any other material to help get potential deals over the line.
  • You will ensure the viability of solutions by testing and documenting an end-to-end solution.
  • You will share customer feedback to the product teams to drive roadmaps in order to create more opportunities for growth.
  • This Role Will Give You The Opportunity To

  • Scope and design payments partnerships with the world's biggest fintechs and enterprises.
  • Help define the presales team vision and strategy as we scale it across the globe.
  • Act as the voice of our customers to influence roadmaps and feature prioritisation, continuously improving our products and positioning in the market.
  • Travel to work with our teams and meet with prospects around the world.
  • Qualifications

  • 2+ years' experience in a presales or sales engineering role engaged in enterprise technology sales (preferably in fintech / payments).
  • Proven track record achieving commercial targets by leveraging consultative and solution-based sales skills.
  • You put the customer first, finding ways to leverage our products to solve customer problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present complex concepts to both technical and business audiences.
  • Experience in effective collaboration within or alongside complex enterprise customers, demonstrating a strong grasp of their challenges and needs.
  • You understand the value of balancing customer centric thinking and have experience communicating customer requirements to internal Product teams.
  • Experience with REST APIs and payments, especially in the context of technical sales and solution design.
