Salary :
The Quality & Compliance Associate will support the Quality Assurance and Compliance functions for a food contract packaging facility. This position is designed for an individual in the early stages of their career who demonstrates strong attention to detail, a commitment to food safety, and the ability to uphold regulatory and customer standards. The role involves assisting in the execution, monitoring, and documentation of quality and compliance programs to ensure adherence to applicable federal, state, and customer requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assist in the administration of food safety and quality systems in accordance with FDA, USDA, SQF, HACCP, and customers- specific requirements.
- Perform and document routine production line inspection, product checks, and GMP audits.
- Support the documents control process, including recordkeeping, review, and archival of quality- related documentation.
- Participate in internal audits and support third- party and customer audit preparation.
- Monitor compliance with programs related to sanitation, allergen control, calibration, pest control, and preventive controls.
- Assist with the investigation of deviations, customer complaints, and non-conformance issues, ensuring proper documentation and corrective actions.
- Support training initiatives related to GMPs, HACCP, and other quality and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with operations, sanitation, and maintenance to reinforce adherence to established standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related scientific discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience.0-3 years of experience in quality assurance or compliance within the food manufacturing or packaging industry (internships, co-op programs, or entry-level positions acceptable).Foundational knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and Food safety regulations.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiar with Alchemy and experience with electronic quality management systems is an asset.Strong organizational, analytical, and written communication skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism in all matters.Working Conditions
Work is performed primarily in an manufacturing facility with regular exposure to production floor environments.May involve standing for extended periods and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).Occasional overtime or weekend support may be required during audits or customer visits.Compensation and Benefits
