Under general direction, our client is seeking to hire a full-time IMSA & NEC certified Electrician for various Traffic Signal Maintenance projects in Southern California. The Electrician will be expected to work on Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) related projects. Specific types of work include conducting Preventative Maintenance checks and repairs on Traffic Signals, Flashing Beacons, Solar Radar Feedback signs, Street Lighting, and other electrical components as required by the customer.

DUTIES

• Willingness and capability to work on traffic signals, streetlights, and other Intelligent Transportation Equipment, using a bucket truck.
• Inspect, install, and maintain electrical components.
• Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices such as traffic signal circuits, cabinets, transformers, circuit breakers, services, streetlight luminaires, CCTV, and communications equipment.
• Terminate and splice Fiber Optic cable in various mediums.
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
• Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code.
• Performs other duties as required and assigned.
