Role Overview

Our Field Service Technicians are electro-mechanical experts who provide essential technical support to customers through installations, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. Representing MPE on the front lines, they are customer-focused professionals who prioritize safety and service excellence.

Travel Requirements :

  • Approximately 65% travel across the U.S.
  • Time at home when not on assignment
  • Candidates should reside near a major airport (Chicagoland area preferred)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer locations to perform equipment installations, commissioning, and preventive maintenance
  • Provide hands-on training to customers on the operation and maintenance of MPE equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system issues, offering prompt resolutions
  • Communicate effectively with customers, promoting professional and collaborative information exchange
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including service trip reports and scheduling details

  • Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (additional technical training is a plus)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Experience with processing equipment, preferably in food processing industry
  • Flexibility to work variable schedules, including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting equipment / process issues on-site
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically, with limited travel to Canada and Mexico
