A Registered Nurse (RN) I specializing in orthopedic and spine care in a full-time night position, responsible for providing direct and indirect nursing care to patients with orthopedic conditions. The role involves collaboration with healthcare professionals, patient assessment, care planning, and execution of treatment strategies in accordance with healthcare regulations. Candidates are required to have at least a diploma or associate's degree in nursing, along with a valid RN license in Oklahoma and BLS certification.

Overview :

Compensation / Benefits

  • $27.84-$45.46 / hr depending on previous work experience.
  • Evening differential $2.50 / hr.
  • Night differential $3.00 / hr.
  • Weekend differential $3.00 / hr.

Ortho / Spine is a 32 bed unit specializing in orthopedic patients. We have disease specific certification from the Joint Commission in Hip Replacement, Knee Replacement and Hip Fx patients which deems us a center of excellence. We also care for Total Shoulder and Ankle patients as well as other fractures. We also care for low level cardiac patients and some med-surg patients.

Responsibilities :

  • collaboration with other health professionals, assessment, analyzing assessment data, establishing goals, planning care strategy,
  • establishing priorities of care, implementing care, delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care,
  • evaluating responses to interventions, and performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation.
  • Qualifications : Education

  • Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Experience

  • Previous experience in healthcare field preferred.
  • (Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).

    Licensure / Certification

  • Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license or active Multistate RN license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
  • New grads are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program.
