Electrical Engineer Specialist - Instrumentation Coordinator

Location : Phoenix Metro Area (Glendale)

Salary starting $80,000 (Hourly-based, dependent on experience) Salary Range : $100,000.00 to $110,000.00

About the Role :

As an Electrical Engineer Specialist , you'll play a critical role in bridging the gap between field teams and project management. This dynamic position is ideal for those who thrive on problem-solving and multitasking in high-stakes environments. You'll work closely with equipment suppliers, review instrumentation specs, and create guidelines for our Process Electricians to ensure projects move seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive Instrument Indexes to align with project requirements.
  • Review Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to ensure accuracy, functionality, and compliance.
  • Verify that all instruments meet quality and performance standards.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers (PMs) to address questions and resolve concerns promptly.
  • Visit field sites as needed to support setup and operation of instruments for optimal functionality.
  • Diagnose and resolve wiring issues to maintain project timelines and ensure smooth integration of control systems.

    • What We're Looking For :

  • Experience : Electrical design, installation, commissioning, and startup expertise.
  • Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat / Bluebeam Revu, and AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge : Familiarity with industry codes and standards (e.g., NEC, OSHA, ISA).
  • Attributes : Strong project coordination, training, and process control skills.

    • Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical instrumentation.
  • Ability to pass a strict background check for city site work.
  • Hands-on knowledge of electrical instrumentation and troubleshooting.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as bending, lifting 30 lbs., and working in various environments.

    • Location & Travel :

  • Primary Location : Phoenix Metro Area projects.
  • Travel : On-site presence required; mileage reimbursement and company vehicle use when available.
