Impact Lives as a Patient Care Technician
Join our dedicated team as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) and play a vital role in transforming the treatment and experience of patients with renal failure. You will work closely with a collaborative team, under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN), providing essential care and support to patients.
Your Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care : Engage directly with patients to deliver safe and compassionate dialysis treatment. This includes monitoring vital signs, initiating and concluding treatments, and collecting blood samples as directed by physicians.
- Technical Duties : Ensure quality care by preparing and maintaining dialysis machines, performing thorough cleaning and disinfection after each treatment, and conducting safety checks to comply with all protocols and regulations.
- Safety Protocols : Implement necessary safety measures, including use of personal protective equipment, all while adhering to company policies and state / federal regulations. Attendance at all staff meetings and ongoing education is required.
What We Seek
High school diploma or equivalent.A passion for healthcare and patient care.Previous experience in healthcare settings such as dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus.Comfortable handling and mixing acids and bicarbonate as per protocols.Ability to distinguish all primary colors.Additional Requirements
Completion of the USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, including demonstrating competency; this must be completed within 8 weeks of hire.CPR certification is required within 90 days of hire or as mandated by your state.Obtain Patient Care Technician certification through a state program or recognized national certification within 18 months of your hire date and maintain in good standing.Ready to Make a Difference?
