Position : Senior Technical Writer. This role involves creating documentation and processes for multiple verticals, working on multiple kinds of projects, and continuous learning. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience as a Technical Writer.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Take a big-picture view of large amounts of content, determine the content information model, and simplify the authoring process for this content.
- Interface with clients and gather information by using existing resources, researching, contacting Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and utilizing software applications to obtain information and screenshots.
- Develop client documentation for a variety of products and industries.
- Ensure documents are accurate and follow clearly defined standards.
- Coordinate with SMEs, Project Managers, and the writing team to ensure the right information is delivered to the right audience and that documentation meets standards.
- Be detail-oriented and apply best practices of technical writing.
Required Experience
U.S. citizenship.Bachelor’s degree in technical writing, journalism, communications, or a related field.10+ years of experience in technical writing, with technical writing as the primary job function.Aptitude for understanding software and / or physical products.Experience researching and gathering technical data from subject matter experts.Excellent interpersonal and general business communication skills.Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.Proven self-starter experience in budgets, scope, and deadlines across multiple clients / projects.In-depth knowledge of standards and best practices for writing software and / or product documentation.Required Technical Tools / Skills
