Project Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented  Project Engineer  to support the planning and execution of commercial restoration and renovation projects. This role is ideal for candidates with at least 2 years of industry experience who are eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. The Project Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring that field operations run smoothly by coordinating documentation, managing logistics, and supporting communication between stakeholders. A strong technical foundation, organizational mindset, and interest in building science and restoration are key to success.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and equipment.
• Prepare and manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other project documentation.
• Support field teams by interpreting drawings and specifications, clarifying scope, and troubleshooting technical issues.
• Attend and document project meetings, including progress updates, coordination meetings, and client walkthroughs.
• Maintain project logs and records in Procore or equivalent project management software.
• Conduct regular site visits to track progress, verify quality, and assist in resolving field issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards by coordinating safety documentation and supporting field audits.
• Participate in pre-construction activities such as site assessments, phasing plans, and permit preparation.
• Assist with project closeout, including compiling warranties, O&M manuals, and final documentation.
• Support restoration-specific planning such as containment setup, environmental remediation sequencing, and system shutdown coordination.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, field personnel, and other stakeholders.
