Python Developer - Washington, DC

We are looking for a skilled Python Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable applications and APIs. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Python frameworks, REST APIs, and database integration , along with good problem-solving skills and the ability to work in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and deploy Python-based applications .
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Work with databases (SQL / NoSQL) for data modeling and optimization.
  • Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver complete solutions.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following coding standards.
  • Implement unit testing and debugging for high-quality software.
  • Participate in Agile / Scrum activities, sprint planning, and peer code reviews.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve application performance and security.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Professional experience in Python development.
  • Strong knowledge of Python frameworks (Django, Flask, or FastAPI).
  • Hands-on experience with REST APIs, JSON, and web services .
  • Experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with Git, CI / CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) .
  • Solid understanding of OOP, data structures, and algorithms .

    • Preferred Skills

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized applications .
  • Familiarity with data processing / ETL frameworks (Pandas, PySpark).
  • Exposure to machine learning libraries (TensorFlow, scikit-learn) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
