About The Position

Job Title : CT / Xray Tech

Profession : Radiologic Technologist

Certifications : ARRT - R, BLS (Preferred : ARRT - CT)

Must-Have : Knowledge and skills in x-ray and CT; may need to use C-arm in surgery for emergent cases

Description :

Candidates must have an account created and registered to run the required training prior to submitting.

This position involves coverage for various imaging areas : ambulatory, clinic, outpatient, inpatient, ER, and OR.

The facility performs various x-rays and CT scans, including CT Angiograms for stroke evaluations, and handles trauma cases due to proximity to a major highway.

An orthopedic clinic nearby also performs various joint imaging and procedures.

Candidates should possess knowledge and skills related to x-ray and CT imaging.

Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC, and PACS, particularly McKesson, is necessary.

Department-specific equipment includes a Siemens 128 slice CT scanner, Siemens Ysio X-ray, Siemens MIRA portable, GE OEC C-arm, and Hologic Mini-C.

A director is available on weekdays during the day and can be reached after hours if there are emergent needs.

There is no use of Registered Radiology Assistants in the department, but a Radiology RN is present during weekdays.

Shifts may vary in length from 8 to 12 hours, depending on staffing needs.

Typical shift times include 6 : 00 AM - 2 : 30 PM, 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM, 8 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM, with evening shifts also available.

Weekend work is typically required every third or fourth week, and holiday work will be assigned based on department needs.

There may be call requirements depending on staffing.

Response time for call requirements is dependent upon staffing levels.

Orientation typically covers approximately 1 week for departmental familiarization.

The department can be busy and demanding due to a high volume of patients in the ER and clinic.

Successful candidates will possess strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and a helpful attitude.

Candidates must comply with a radius rule and cannot have worked with any related health systems within the past year.

All requested time off needs to be submitted upfront, as additional requests will not be approved after submissions.

The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts for a 13-week assignment.
