Sheet Metal Mechanics

United Trades of America is seeking experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics for a client in Decatur, Alabama . This is a local position, and only candidates within commuting distance will be considered.

• Key Responsibilities
• Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment such as ductwork, control boxes, drainpipes, and furnace casings in both industrial and commercial environments.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine material requirements and project timelines.
• Use various tools such as plasma cutters, press brakes, grinders, and hand tools to shape and assemble sheet metal products.
• Ensure the highest level of safety and workmanship on all job sites.
• Collaborate with other trades and project managers to complete projects on schedule.
• Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with sheet metal in industrial and commercial environments.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with operating sheet metal fabrication equipment, including press brakes and plasma tables.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be punctual, reliable, and maintain a professional appearance.
