Description :
The Cardiac Catheterization Technologist performs functions related to hemodynamic and imaging.
This role requires an understanding of ambulatory monitoring operations in the Cardiology department.
The technologist performs procedures with a high level of independence and does not require constant supervision.
Key responsibilities include performing all tasks under the direction of the Chief Radiologic Technologist.
Duties include recording hemodynamic monitoring and maintaining proficiency through continuing education credits.
The role involves assisting with the radiologic operations of the Cardiac Cath Lab.
Quality control standards are upheld through the use of optimal diagnostic imaging techniques.
The technologist performs simple troubleshooting for equipment and requests service as needed.
Completion of patient billing forms for all Cath Lab procedures is required.
Daily calibration and maintenance of the film processor using sensitometric and densitometric equipment are essential.
Preparation assistance for cardiology patients undergoing invasive procedures is part of the role.
Taking evening and weekend calls for emergency procedures is expected.
Confidentiality and security of all data related to the hospital, medical staff, and patients must be maintained.
Adherence to relevant policies and procedures is required.
Respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and colleagues are paramount.
Cultural diversity should be recognized and respected for all customers.
Effective communication with internal and external customers is essential, considering cultural differences.
Other related duties may be assigned as required.
