Travel Licensed Vocational Nurse - Texas City, TX

Dean's Professional Services is now hiring a qualified, Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)  to work for a Hospital Facility in Texas Gulf Coast with occasional travel to Galveston, TX and Texas City, TX.

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is responsible for providing direct nursing care and support to youth and families within an outpatient behavioral health setting. This role ensures safe medication management, assists with care coordination, and promotes recovery through education and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Note : Due to providing care within male patient units and facility needs, male candidates are preferred.

Job Responsibilities :

• Report directly to the Program Manager, Youth and Family Services, with oversight from the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
• Coordinate and manage medication clinics, including medication administration and documentation.
• Provide support to prescribing providers during patient visits and follow-up.
• Deliver patient and family education, including medication-related rehabilitative services that promote recovery.
• Monitor, document, and report patient progress, behavior, and response to treatment.
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
• Support crisis intervention efforts and ensure a safe therapeutic environment.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records and nursing documentation in compliance with state and facility guidelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, social workers, and case managers to ensure coordinated care.
• Promote a respectful, compassionate, and supportive atmosphere for youth and families.
