About the Role

We’re looking for aFreelance Apparel Graphic Designerwho brings fresh ideas, trend awareness, and strong technical design skills. You’ll create bold, eye-catching graphics for apparel that speak directly to our customer’s lifestyle.

The ideal candidate has experience across apparel graphics, logos, and illustrations, and thrives in translating research and customer insights into designs that connect with our audience. Equally important as technical ability is the commitment to timelines, adaptability to varied design needs and an appreciation for creating work that resonates with different customer lifestyles.

Responsibilities

Create original, on-trend designs for seasonal collections as directed by Creative and / or Sales Directors, tailored to specific customers.
Translate concepts into compelling layouts and collections, including thoughtful use of arrangement, scale, typography, and other design elements.
Submit designs for approval with a strong understanding of individual brand guidelines, as well as adherence to copyright laws and licensing standards.
Prepare artwork files in layered, high-resolution formats ready for production.
Manage deadlines by following time-and-action calendars for each customer, ensuring timely delivery of all projects.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of graphic design principles for apparel, with the ability to create a variety of aesthetics that connect with different customer needs.

Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop required); familiarity with multiple digital file formats (PSD, AI, EPS, JPEG, TIFF, GIF, PNG, etc.).

Understanding of or proven ability to adapt to the sporting goods industry and its major brands.

Strong time management skills with a track record of completing projects efficiently and on schedule.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to take direction while bringing fresh, creative ideas.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, start-up environment, resourceful, flexible, and self-motivated.

Job Type : Freelance

Location : Hybrid role — remote work is welcome, but candidates should be able to travel to the Atlanta area during the regular business week as needed.

Preference : Candidates based in the United States are strongly preferred.
