Principal System Architect : High-Power Controllers

Join us in shaping the future of high-power controller ICs. As a Principal System Architect, you'll lead innovation at the intersection of power electronics and system design by driving breakthrough architectures that impact industries such as data center, energy infrastructure, communications, and automotive.

Core Responsibilities

  • Define and own the comprehensive system-level architecture of next-generation high-power ICs, including control, telemetry, and embedded memory
  • Meet with customers to gain insight into pain points, emerging trends, and associated product development needs
  • Collaborate across teams, including field and system application engineers, design leads, product definers, and marketing to set project goals and timelines
  • Develop and maintain system models for use by application, design, verification, and evaluation teams

Critical Contributing Responsibilities

System Architecture Leadership

  • Drive the product architecture throughout the lifecycle, managing requirements, executing system level design, identifying issues, and recommending solutions
  • Lead architecture reviews for the product development teams and make enhancements based on feedback
  • Drive architectural level research efforts to support innovation and competitive analysis
  • Technical Execution

  • Evaluate system models to ensure the system design meets performance metrics
  • Derive block-level performance targets from higher-level architecture requirements
  • Support lab evaluation and debugging of hardware emulation or engineering prototypes of integrated circuits
  • Customer & Industry Engagement

  • Engage with customer teams to drive adoption of new topologies
  • Participate in conferences (internal and external) to lead topology advancement and monitor industry developments
  • Position Requirements

  • MSEE with 8+ years (or PhD with 5+ years) of relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated experience in architecting Power ICs
  • Solid understanding of CMOS and BCD process technology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience delivering technical presentations and reviews
  • Experience with SIMPLIS, Simulink, or similar behavioral simulation environments (e.g., LTSpice, PLECS)
  • Experience with high-power laboratory equipment and measurement techniques
  • Experience with high voltage (>
  • 100V) power ICs, GaN or SiC technologies (preferred)

  • Occasional domestic and international travel (10-20%) to engage with customers, attend conferences, and support product launches

    The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $141,075 to $211,613.
