Travel RN – Operating Room (OR) – 10hr Days

Location : Carlsbad, NM

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

Start Date : 10 / 6 / 2025

Shift : Days, 7 : 00 am – 5 : 30 pm, 4x10hr shifts

Call Requirements : Minimum 1 weekday per week, possible weekend rotation

Unit : Operating Room

Facility size : 99 beds

Approx. 250 procedures / month

Patient ratio : 1 : 1

Requirements :

Minimum 2 years OR experience

BLS, ACLS, PALS required

Experience with general, ortho, OBGYN, podiatry, plastics, endo, & Robotics (DaVinci) trauma

Adult & pediatric experience required

Role Summary :

The OR Nurse demonstrates critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning and providing patient care in the operating room. Collaborates with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, ORTs, and staff to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality care in compliance with the State Nurse Practice Act, AORN, and hospital policies. Responsibilities include ensuring supplies, case timeliness, family communication, updating physician preference cards, scrubbing and assisting during surgical cases, and supervising personnel delivering patient care.
