About the Role

The Program Analyst III supports the Project Management Center of Excellence (PMCoE) and reports to the Director of PMCoE. This role is responsible for implementing and maintaining project and product risk management processes. The analyst leads the planning, assessment, and monitoring of risk activities and leverages project and risk data to inform organizational planning, forecasting, and decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain risk management plans, processes, and procedures for new and ongoing projects.
  • Collaborate closely with project and technical teams to identify, monitor, and report project and program risks and opportunities.
  • Lead and facilitate risk review meetings.
  • Provide risk management training and guidance across the organization.
  • Manage and enhance information systems, ensuring accurate data entry, integration across platforms, and continuous improvement of risk and program reporting tools.
  • Conduct quantitative analyses of risk impacts on project cost and schedule.
  • Work with project managers, supervisors, and subject matter experts to identify and assess risks and uncertainties against technical and business objectives.
  • Develop, update, and maintain risk handling plans; perform what-if and root-cause analyses to support decision-making and strategy development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
  • Experience : At least 5 years of experience in a project / program management or systems engineering environment.
  • Experience with project risk management, planning and scheduling tools, and PMO processes.
  • Proficiency with software such as Primavera P6, PRISM, Primavera Risk Analysis, and Palisade @Risk preferred.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple work phases and minimal supervision.
  • Industry Requirements : Must be eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810 regulations.
  • VISA Requirements : Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.

  • Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency with software such as Primavera P6, PRISM, Primavera Risk Analysis, and Palisade @Risk preferred.
  • Pay Range : $100k-$120K plus full benefits
