Summary : The 3-5 instructional teacher oversees the instructional needs of assigned students and the organizational / administrative tasks needed to carry out engaging and appropriate instruction.

Student Management
- Refer students in a timely manner to all support systems as needed
- Maintain contact with Family Support Liaison for student referrals
- Provide data to content academic teachers as needed
Instructional Roles
Provide students with synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunitiesFollow protocol for creating / updating Canvas modulesAdminister student assessments with fidelity and according to procedures on behalf of general education teachers as neededManage documentation on instruction provided outside of classesInstructional research and planningCollect and review data to adjust instructionReview feedback from observations and implement suggestions for improvementGrading
Ensure all assessments are completeKeep grades updated in Canvas / Infinite CampusProvide timely feedback to students on all assignmentsCommunication
Provide LC / Parent with professional and timely communicationRead and respond to all emails within 24 hours (1 business day)Update the Infinite Campus contact log the same day a communication contact is made with a familySchedule conferences with families as neededMeetings and Professional Involvement
Attend and / or provide documentation for all student-specific meetings (IEP / SST / RTI / 504 / EL)Attend and actively participate in all required professional meetings (DDI, Staff, Department, PLC, Content Planning, Professional Development F2F and Virtual)Attend BOY & EOY student outings (district-wide)Attend a minimum of 3 Parent University SessionsProfessional Responsibilities
Actively support collaboration with colleagues across teaching partnerships and departmentsComplete all required trainingsParticipate in EOG / EOC assignmentsComply with all policies and procedures in teacher, district, and GCA handbooksStay logged on to Zoom during working hoursComplete TKES platform tasks within assigned timeframeSupervisory Responsibilities : This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in EducationEquivalent combination of education and experienceCertificates and Licenses
Education Certificate in respective subject matter and grade levelDesirable TKES / LKES credentialedClear Fingerprint / Background Check RequiredGAPSC Clearance CertificationOther Required Qualifications

This is primarily a Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, home-based position; up to 25% travel may be required. In-office days may be required during critical periods. Attendance at PD, conferences, meetings, and events may be required several times per year. Light lifting may be required.
