Resume screening Phone screen with recruiter (30 minutes) On-site interview with Center Director (30-60 minutes) Q&A Classroom observation Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides. Implement lesson plans and curriculum weekly, covering all areas of child development and following the classroom schedule / daily routine; communicate effectively with parents. Establish a professional rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children. Ensure the safety and well-being of each child, respond to their emotional needs, and maintain an organized, clean, safe, and decorated classroom. Maintain child assessments and portfolios, and conduct biannual parent / teacher conferences in November and May. Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role. Carry out daily responsibilities related to the care of children.

Description
The Growing Years of Charlotte is a licensed childcare center seeking Lead Teachers to support the following age groups :
- Toddler
To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma and the ability to pass all background checks. We also require an associate's or a bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a completed associate's or bachelor's degree with at least 12 credits in early childhood education or their equivalent.
Required Shift : Monday - Friday, 9 : 00am - 6 : 00pm
Compensation : $18-$20 per hour, based on education and experience
