Geospatial Analyst

A company is looking for a Geospatial Analyst to support NOAA's Office for Coastal Management.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct quality assurance of land cover datasets at multiple resolutions

Assist in land cover data classification and development using various input data sources

Compile, process, and analyze diverse data types, including imagery and elevation data

Required Qualifications

Master's degree with two plus years of related experience in geography, remote sensing, GIS, or a related field, or a Bachelor's degree with six plus years of related experience

Some experience or general knowledge of land cover mapping methods and elevation data analysis

Familiarity with raster and vector-based datasets on desktop and web-based platforms

Some experience with geospatial analysis tools such as ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, or similar

Knowledge of Python scripting for GIS task automation is preferred
