REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of progressive leadership experience in the propane or energy distribution industry, with a proven track record of managing operations and driving growth.

Comprehensive knowledge of propane industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.

Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management, P&L responsibility, and strategic planning.

Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., dispatching software, CRM, Microsoft Office Suite).

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Willingness to travel as needed to various cooperative locations, customer sites, and industry events.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Energy Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

CDL with HazMat endorsement preferred or ability to obtain

Develop and execute strategic plans for the propane division, including sales targets, market expansion, and service offerings.

Identify new business opportunities, analyze market trends, and implement strategies to increase market share and profitability.

Manage pricing strategies, inventory levels, and procurement to optimize margins and ensure supply.

Prepare and manage the annual budget for the propane division, monitoring financial performance and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Oversee all daily operations of the propane division, including bulk storage, delivery logistics, equipment maintenance, and field service.

Ensure efficient routing and scheduling of deliveries to maximize driver productivity and customer satisfaction.

Manage the fleet of propane delivery vehicles and associated equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and compliance.

Implement and optimize operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Champion a strong safety culture within the propane division, ensuring strict adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., DOT, OSHA, NFPA 58).

Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and training programs for all propane personnel.

Oversee regular safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations, implementing corrective actions promptly.

Maintain all necessary licenses, permits, and certifications for propane storage, handling, and distribution.

Recruit, hire, train, and mentor a high-performing team of propane managers, drivers, and service technicians.

Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and foster professional development opportunities for the team.

Promote a positive and collaborative work environment focused on safety, efficiency, and customer service.

Ensure exceptional customer service standards are met, addressing inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.

Manage propane inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing holding costs.

Oversee the maintenance and integrity of all propane assets, including tanks, pumps, and dispensing equipment.

Abide by all safety regulations to ensure safety of oneself, coworkers and customers

Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally

May require occasional lifting , bending, and stooping

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS

Ability to work in an office environment, as well as occasionally in outdoor or industrial settings with exposure to varying weather conditions and noise levels
