Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring a compact or MD RN license, BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications.
Responsibilities
Work in the NICU of a hospital settingAssignment consists of 13 weeks, with night shifts (3x12 hours, 19 : 00–07 : 00)Patient population includes infants born at or after 32 weeks requiring higher-level carePatient ratio ranges from 1 : 1 to 1 : 3Floating required to units of equivalent or lower acuityUse of Cerner EMR systemEvery other weekend and holiday rotation requiredScrubs are providedPrevious employees must have been separated for at least one year to be consideredModules and specialty-specific trainings may be required prior to or during orientationLocal candidates within 60 miles are accepted but at a different rateRequirements
Active RN license for MD or compact stateCurrent BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications requiredMinimum of 2 years of NICU experience requiredMust have completed at least one prior travel assignment with solid NICU experienceProficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV antibiotics, vasopressor use, insulin titration, cardiac management (understanding As and Bs), central line management, blood culture draws, ventilator and CPAP management, and peripheral IV startsPrevious charge experience is preferredTwo professional supervisor references from the past 2 years requiredBenefits
