Job Summary :
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated LGSW Clinical Trainee or Intern to join our team. The successful candidate will provide therapeutic services to individuals, couples, families, and groups under supervision. This role requires a strong commitment to supporting the mental health needs of diverse populations and contributing to client well-being while developing clinical skills.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct Assessments (under supervision) : Assist with comprehensive assessments to determine client needs and inform treatment planning.
- Provide Therapy : Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, families, and groups while receiving clinical supervision.
- Develop Treatment Plans : Collaborate with clients and supervisors to create individualized treatment plans that address specific mental health needs.
- Maintain Documentation : Complete accurate and timely records of client sessions, treatment goals, and progress notes in accordance with agency and training standards.
- Coordinate Care : Support collaboration with other healthcare providers, social workers, and community resources to ensure integrated care.
- Crisis Support : Participate in supervised crisis intervention when clients experience acute mental health concerns.
- Ethical Practice : Adhere to professional ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality in all client interactions.
- Professional Development : Engage in regular supervision, training, and ongoing learning opportunities to enhance clinical skills.
- Scheduling & Coordination : Manage therapy schedules, ensuring timely appointments and follow-ups in collaboration with administrative staff.
- Client Support : Help facilitate communication between clients and the care team, ensuring continuity of services.
Qualifications :
Education : Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Master's or Doctoral program in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field.Licensure Status :Interns : Students completing practicum or internship hours as part of an MSW program.
Trainees : Graduates working toward independent licensure under supervision (e.g., LICSW).Skills : Strong communication, empathy, cultural humility, and adaptability skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.Cultural Competence : Commitment to culturally responsive care and awareness of systemic inequities.Organizational Skills : Excellent time management and ability to balance multiple responsibilities.Hours :
Flexible hours between 8 am and 7 pm, depending on client needs.
