Staff Sales Engineer (Sales Engineering)

Overview

Staff Sales Engineer (Sales Engineering) at Affirm. You'll combine technical aptitude, communication skills, and problem solving to implement the Affirm solution with enterprise merchants. You'll help with pre-sale activities, analyze requirements, and identify solutions. You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, Technical Account Management, and Product teams to develop merchant solutions, identify product enhancements, and build scalable internal processes.

What You'll Do

• Make the technical case for Affirm to merchants
• Build the trust of technical counterparts internally and externally, and foster long-term relationships with Enterprise merchants
• Design custom Affirm solutions based on a merchant's business priorities and technical capabilities
• Develop pre-sales support material and documentation for new products and features
• Demonstrate technical expertise and knowledge of Affirm's product suite to increase scope and product adoption
• Build and present custom demos as required
• Collaborate with Sales operations to build and refine scalable business processes

What We Look For

Pay and Benefits

Pay Grade - K; Equity Grade - 6. Affirm focuses on a simple and transparent pay structure. For sales roles, the On Target Earnings (OTE) range includes base pay and sales incentive target. Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, stipends for health, wellness, and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents).

USA On Target Earnings (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT) per year : $175,000 - $237,500. USA On Target Earnings (all other U.S. states) per year : $155,000 - $217,000. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Affirm is remote-first. Most roles are remote and you can work from anywhere in the country of employment. A limited number of roles remain office-based due to job responsibilities.
