This Port Facility Maintenance Specialist position serves in facilitating piledriving operations and maintenance as part of Marine Construction department of the Port of New Orleans Maintenance Division and reports directly to the Port Facility Maintenance Foreman.
The ideal candidate will have practical experience in marine construction, carpentry, or heavy civil maintenance; possess a thorough understanding of safety regulations in a port environment; demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in demanding outdoor conditions; and be reliable, motivated, and proactive in keeping projects on schedule. Career Progression : This position may be filled as a Port Facility Maintenance Specialist 1, 2 or 3.
Work Schedule : Work hours are 10-hour days.
Compensation : This position is eligible for premium pay of up to $1.50 per hour.
