Position Purpose
Under the supervision of the Program Manager, Film & Video Production, performs the following functions :
Duties and Responsibilities
Provides Instructional Services
- Introduce students to filmmaking fundamentals : camera recording, audio, lighting, producing, and film history.
- Assist in developing course outcomes and curriculum aligned with college and department goals.
- Convey course outcomes and expectations to students.
- Organize and manage instructional activities using learner-centered methods.
- Evaluate student learning fairly and maintain accurate records.
- Post and maintain office hours compatible with student schedules.
- Submit grades timely and participate in college evaluation systems.
- Regularly update courses and contribute to student achievement assessments.
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet departmental goals.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications Education, Experience, and Skills
Masters Degree preferred; Bachelors degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours relevant to the discipline.Evidence of professional development in the field.Excellent communication and technology skills.Organizational and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of subject area, educational theory, and learners.Commitment to learner-centered education.Confidentiality, caring attitude, and self-motivation.Knowledge of college resources, organizational structure, and programs.Openness to feedback, attention to detail, flexibility, teamwork, and ability to prioritize.Positive attitude and knowledge of safe working conditions.Reasonable accommodations may be requested under ADA.
