The School of Information (UMSI), a progressive, interdisciplinary professional school offering five academic programs, has an exciting opportunity for an Admissions and Administrative Coordinator. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Admissions and Recruitment Operations, you will provide critical support for areas of recruitment, admissions, office management, and events for the Recruitment and Admissions Team.
The Recruitment, Admissions and Financial Aid (RAFA) Team is a high-performing team of professionals motivated to create a positive experience for all applicants to our programs. We are responsible for all recruitment and admission activities for our three (3) residential programs, which include one (1) undergraduate and two (2) master's degree programs, as well as our online master's degree program.

Responsibilities
Be the first contact for answering and assessing inquiries received by phone, email, and in-person
Support overall application processing goals as the lead processor for application materials including verification of transcripts, GPA calculations, TOEFL scores, and other documents; work with applicants to ensure all materials have been received and processed
Manage the application deferral process (tracking applicant requests, updating official records in Wolverine Access, updating relevant reports shared with internal and external partners, maintaining communication and confirmation of future enrollment)
Lead the I-20 process for incoming students, and other student data processing
Confirm and organize logistics of All UMSI Recruitment and Admissions events; room scheduling, catering, visitor accommodations, signage, event support (working events, setting up, taking down, clean up), and technology needs and set up
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience
2 years experience in a related role requiring confidentiality, organization, prioritization, and troubleshooting to achieve results
2 years experience with web-based systems, databases, and basic spreadsheets
Experience providing quality customer service to students, faculty, and staff in higher education or a similar environment
Modes Of Work

This is a hybrid position. You will have the opportunity to work one (1) day per week remotely during the school year, dependent on office coverage needs, with additional remote opportunities in the summer. The main office workspace for this position is located in the Leinweber Computer Science and Information building at 2200 Hayward St., Ann Arbor, MI. Punctual and regular attendance is required. You may travel to multiple locations on and off campus. You may work during non-business hours and on weekends based on the requirements for your position.

Salary Information :
The salary range for this position is $51,000 to $58,000. Salary is determined by direct relevant experience and demonstrated past performance results while ensuring equity on our team. All candidates are encouraged to discuss salary questions to honor alignment and transparency throughout the recruiting process.

This position is included in the bargaining unit represented by the University Staff United (USU), which represents bargaining unit members in all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
