Position Overview :
The Ambulance Driver operates a vehicle in the pre-hospital / inter-facility setting for Basic Life Support (BLS) transports. Responsibilities include safe transport of patients, assisting EMS staff, and providing exceptional customer service.
Preferred Qualifications :
- EMSVO certification (preferred).
- Strong customer service skills and professionalism.
- Ability to maintain compliance with all company policies and protocols.
- Timely and accurate completion of all required documentation.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform.Assist EMS staff with patient positioning, loading, and unloading.Safely drive ambulance to transport patients.Maintain cleanliness of vehicles, offices, and facilities.Communicate professionally with patients, families, facilities, and dispatch.Physical Demands :
Frequent lifting, including assisting patients (up to 125 lbs unassisted, 250 lbs assisted).Sit and stand for extended periods; occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and working in confined spaces.Walking, bending, squatting, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling.Work in various weather conditions (cold, heat, rain, snow).Minimum Requirements :
High school diploma or GED.Current CPR certification.One year of on the job driving experience preferred (two years driving experience preferred).Motor Vehicle Driving Record in compliance with company policy.Valid Driver’s License, preferred already to possess EMSVO, but must be able to obtain upon hire.Flexible schedule.Basic computer skills (documentation and timekeeping done electronically).What We Offer :
