About The Position

Job Title : Operating Room Nurse

License : Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state / district

Certifications : PALS, BLS, ACLS Required

Must-Have : Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program, BSN highly desired

Description :

The operating room nurse is responsible for scrubbing and / or circulating duties for operative procedures.

The nurse manages department admissions to the operative suite.

Adheres to standards and appropriate aseptic techniques.

Consults and coordinates with team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care plans.

Serves as a communication liaison to patients, families, and members of the operating team.

Prepares the operating room for the patient and surgical procedure.

Assembles equipment and supplies, ensuring equipment is functional and supplies / implants are available.

Performs 12 hours of call every other weekend.
