Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Behavioral Health Discipline : RN Duration : Ongoing 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Staff Job description Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavorial Health Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality mental health care to patients, ensuring their safety and well-being. This position requires a strong understanding of psychiatric disorders, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate mental health status and needs. Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects and effectiveness. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment options and coping strategies. Assist in acute pain management and provide care for patients undergoing procedures such as gastric lavage. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Utilize basic life support skills when required to ensure patient safety. Hours (Day and Night shift open) Monday-Thursday 7 : 00am-7 : 00pm - this will be 3 of those 4 days Rotating weekend every 3rd week - this will be Friday through Sunday Holidays rotate on an every other basis Qualifications Current Ohio license in good standing. Desire and passion for Behavorial Health. Preferred to have Behavorial Health or Med Surg background Great Energy Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members. Commitment to providing compassionate care while maintaining professional boundaries. Basic life support certification is required; advanced certifications are a plus.
