Description : Position Summary :

Provides strategic leadership over all aspects of supply chain including procurement, scheduling, warehousing and inventory and supporting sales / customer business development. Strategic leadership over product profitability objectives (yields and margin oversight). This candidate will be part of the executive team driving corporate culture, company growth initiatives and value creation for company shareholders and stakeholders.

Organizational Relationships :

Reports to the Chief Executive Officer. Member of the executive leadership team. Works closely with sales, manufacturing and finance leadership teams. Interact regularly with external suppliers and customers.

Roles / Accountabilities :

• Strategic oversight for development of organizational procurement strategy.
• Creation and management of short, mid, and long-term strategies to achieve business profitability goals.
• Understanding scope of Sales mix and the profitability of each item for customers.
• Exposure oversight within Supply Chain.
• Develops Procurement Meat Block Strategies - possibilities, industry options, vetting, testing, understanding raw material costs to organization, understanding raw material characteristics.
• Procurement contract negotiations oversight - exposure capacities, price structures, understand leverage points, Incorporate BATNA - best alternative to a negotiated agreement - into buy strategy, spec compliance and supplier accountability / consequences.
• Developing, implementing, and evaluating supply chain improvement strategies. Identifying process challenges and implementing solutions to streamline inefficient areas and achieve maximum productivity.
• Company Subject matter expert for Production and Sales as it relates to finished good product initiatives focusing on specification development, process flow development, yield expectations, customer expectations and company profit expectations. Strategic interfacing with sales and customer base.
• Drive Continuous improvement initiatives to drive out cost and improve profitability. Developing, implementing, and evaluating supply chain improvement strategies. Identifying process challenges and implementing solutions to streamline inefficient areas and achieve maximum productivity.
• Drive profitability through developing sound raw material strategies resulting in high yielding and high performing products for both customer and production. Understanding the full scope of production process and product mix to achieve optimal margin performance.
• Responsible for the safe, accurate and timely receiving, storage, inventory, selection and loading of all products.
• Leads the forecasting and scheduling initiatives focusing on efficient use of raw materials, labor and establishment of appropriate par inventory levels.

Requirements : Knowledge / Skills

Education :

Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or equivalent experience.
