Medical Transcriptionist

A company is looking for a Medical Transcriptionist to join their team remotely.

Key Responsibilities

Transcribe letters, medical / legal reports, and other projects accurately and timely using dictation equipment and word processors

Maintain a daily list of reports transcribed and prioritize work based on report importance and physician needs

Recognize and report discrepancies in dictation and ensure all work meets quality standards and timelines

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; one to two years of college or trade school training for medical transcription recommended

One year of experience in a medical or legal office preferred

Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and transcription guidelines

Typing speed of at least 150 lines per hour or 75 W.P.M. with a quality assurance accuracy of 99%

Ability to operate dictation equipment and various software programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel
