We are seeking a compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our interdisciplinary team and provide expert grief and bereavement support to individuals and families coping with loss.
This is more than a counseling role — it's an opportunity to walk alongside those experiencing deep grief and help them find meaning, healing, and connection.
What We're Looking For :
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Virginia (or license-eligible) preferred.
- Experience in hospice, palliative care, mental health, or trauma-informed care preferred
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy, resilience, and the ability to hold space for others in their most vulnerable moments

Key Responsibilities :
Conduct initial bereavement assessments assessing clients coping abilities and strengthsDevelop and provide timely implementation of a plan of care according to the assessed needs and expressed wishes of the clientServe as a clinical resource for social workers and bereavement staffProvide grief counseling and crisis intervention, as necessary, to develop and enhance client's coping skills related to grief / lossReassess client's progress at each contact and amend the plan of careClearly document all interactions according to organizational policy and procedures and regulatory standardsFacilitate support groups and grief / loss programs throughout the yearPlan and implement community grief education and supportive programming throughout the yearProvide grief and loss related programs in the organization and the communityMake follow-up phone calls in order to check on client's progress and complete bereavement assessments and notesSchedule : Monday - Friday 8 : 30am - 5 : 00pm
