Job Summary
Central Church is looking for someone passionate about helping kids and families grow in their faith. As part of the Kid Central team, youll play a key role in taking our childrens ministry to the next level.
This position will direct our new Saturday Night Kid Central programming for Birth - 5th grade. Developing a team that feels like a community by building strong relationships with leaders, coaches, and families while fostering a welcoming and organized environment. This position is responsible for helping recruit, train, and support Saturday night leaders, ensuring each Saturday is fully staffed and runs smoothly. As well as being the upfront host / communicator for elementary age large groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule Saturday Night Leaders
- Recruit, onboard, and train adults and students to serve on Saturday Night
- Shepherd and empower coaches to lead teams of volunteers.
- Intentionally build strong relationships with the Saturday Night leaders and coaches.
- Ensure the rooms have leaders each Saturday to meet our leader-to-child ratios.
- Work closely with the Community team to develop and appreciate Kid Central leaders.
- Send out Birthday cards each month to your Nursery Leaders and coaches.
- Collaborate with the Kid Central team to create a fantastic experience for kids and families.
- Present in the hallways on Saturdays to build relationships with coaches, leaders, kids, and families.
- Help build strong relationships with parents and guardians, addressing their concerns and providing support as needed.
- Contribute to and participate in Kid Central events.
- Participate in team meetings.
- Be the primary Host / Communicator for Elementary large group teaching. (This includes, but is not limited to, leading games, introducing the video curriculum, and helping with video-led worship.)
Qualifications
Personal faith in Jesus Christ and agreement with Centrals Statement of Faith.Passion for reaching / growing children in Christ and equipping / encouraging parents and caregivers to do the same.Experience working with children and their parents in a childrens ministry, camp ministry, or educational setting.Passion for reaching / growing children in Christ and equipping / encouraging parents and caregivers to do the same.Has a passion for empowering, shepherding, and caring for room leaders (volunteers) and Coaches.Enjoys challenges and is highly adaptive to new ideas and changing environments.Member, or willing to become a member, of Central Church.Skills
Highly relational, flexible, and able to work well with others.Highly organized with a strong eye for detail.Excellence in written / verbal communication skills.Proactive and willing to seek out solutions.Ability to manage and balance complex schedules and details.Ability to manage, direct, and oversee teams of volunteers.Computer skills and experience with Google and Apple systems, as well as the ability to learn our internal systems quickly.High level of problem-solving abilities among families and volunteers, with the ability to pivot quickly according to the needs of a fast-paced ministry.Willingness to serve with a positive attitude.
