Position Summary :

The IR Tech will set up radiographic equipment prior to angiographic procedures, process and perform quality control checks on cine radiographic images, assist in patient preparation, and support the cath lab / Interventional Radiology staff and physicians to ensure efficient and timely care.

Responsibilities include :

Performing a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and ingenuity

Maintaining infection control and safety practices in compliance with hospital / OSHA standards

Operating and troubleshooting PACS, HIS, RIS, CR, and DR systems

Supervising / instructing staff as assigned by Operations Manager or Lead Technologist

Ensuring proper patient care and confidentiality

Attending annual mandatory education and maintaining all required competencies

Requirements :

2+ years current IR experience

ARRT (R) certification required

Massachusetts License in Radiography (and Mammography if applicable)

BLS required

Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred

Ability to function independently in a high-stress, intensive environment
