Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring L&D experience, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP certification.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in a 19-bed Labor & Delivery unit
  • Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 00
  • Patient ratio is 1 : 2-3
  • Floating to postpartum / mother baby unit is required
  • Responsible for managing all aspects of labor and delivery, including newborn transition
  • Required to complete approximately 16.8 hours of pre-start online modules prior to orientation
  • Pre-employment drug screening is performed upon arrival in addition to credentialing requirements
  • First time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Not eligible if previously employed by FirstHealth and separated less than one year ago

  • Active NC or compact RN license, pending license accepted
  • Minimum of 2 years recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required
  • AWHONN Intermediate certification required
  • NRP certification required
  • Competency in the management of second stage labor and vaginal exams required
  • Strong skills in transitioning newborns in L&D required
  • Candidates must provide two references for consideration
  • Candidates must not reside in Moore County
  • Copy of Driver’s License and Social Security Number required for consideration
