The Shop Technician 2 will operate in the local re-manufacture and service facility at an intermediary level performing in a wide variety of situations producing a wide range of products. Duties include increasingly complex assembly of equipment including top drives, iron roughnecks, frac / mud pumps, electric / hydraulic systems, and related oilfield equipment. The Shop Technician 2 will operate in the local re-manufacture and service facility at an intermediary level performing in a wide variety of situations producing a wide range of products. Duties include increasingly complex assembly of equipment including top drives, iron roughnecks, frac / mud pumps, electric / hydraulic systems, and related oilfield equipment. This position will work under the direction of the Shop Supervisor.

Detailed Description :

• Assemble increasingly complex equipment / products with limited supervision according to standard operating procedures.
• Read, interpret and follow standard engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials and other verbal / written work instructions / procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
• Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when required.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, parts lists, operation sequence sheets and visual aids.
• Set up and operate a variety of machinery, tooling and test equipment; perform any rework from test failures in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Verify quality of product produced in accordance with manufacturing work instructions.
• Complete and document all work via a product traveler.
• Liaise with supervisor regarding quality or procedure problems.
• Rework and / or repair assembled standard equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
• May have previous exposure of product lines manufactured or serviced by Warrior.
• Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
• Skilled in final inspections, safety and materials handling.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment; provides aid to senior shop technicians when required.

Additional Details :

The Shop Tech must work with an emphasis on safety for themselves and others including coworkers and third parties. The typical work environment will be in the shop or field which will require exposure to outdoor weather conditions, loud noise, working near moving mechanical parts, electrical energy, construction equipment, vibration, fumes, chemicals and airborne particles.
