MES (Syncade) Automation Engineer

Piper Life Sciences is actively seeking a MES (Syncade) Automation Engineer to support the implementation of a paperless manufacturing platform for a cutting-edge biopharmaceutical facility in Holly Springs, NC. This role is part of a major greenfield expansion and will involve contributing to the design and delivery of an integrated ERP / MES / DCS solution. This is a Monday–Friday hybrid role operating on Eastern time with 3-4 days on-site and flexibility for 1-2 days remote per week.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and implementation of Emerson DeltaV MES (Syncade) with a focus on enforcing digital workflows and integration across manufacturing systems
• Attend project meetings and review system requirements, design documents, and test protocols for MES functionality
• Provide guidance on core modules such as Document Management (DCA), Order Management, Material Management, Workflow Execution, and Electronic Batch Records
• Collaborate cross-functionally with automation, process engineering, QA, and IT to align on MES development and implementation plans
• Assist in infrastructure setup, recipe development, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Translate system requirements into test protocols and contribute to validation and compliance activities.
