Transportation Supervisor
The Salvation Army (TSA) Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) is a no-fee program to assist men & women in their journey to complete our rehabilitation program. Position objectives include creating a positive and mentoring environment for beneficiaries through collaboration and partnership with program staff, supervising and managing a team of drivers including hiring, training, and scheduling, planning and optimizing delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods, managing the Salvation Army fleet of vehicles, and ensuring compliance of safety regulations and TSA policies to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications include a high school graduate or equivalent, a current valid driver's license, passing TSA driver and safety training series, passing a background check, demonstrated ability to lead, coach, train, and motivate others, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, working knowledge of DOT rules and regulations, general understanding of Safety Rules for Dock and Transportation, minimum five years of light industrial, transportation, or operations' experience, and minimum two years of verifiable supervisory experience.
Physical requirements include the ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis, ability to grasp, push, pull objects, ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs., ability to operate a motor vehicle and forklift, ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks, and ability to occasionally work outdoors and feel comfortable walking on potentially uneven surfaces.
