Job Description

As a Security Officer - Logistics Access Control in Allentown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to the premises. Your presence and routine patrols contribute to a secure environment, while your customer service skills support positive interactions with staff and visitors. Pay Rate : $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTime : Tue 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Wed 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Thur 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Fri 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Sat 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location, following established access control protocols.
  • Assist with visitor management processes, including logging and directing guests as required by site-specific procedures.
  • Help to deter unauthorized entry and / or suspicious activity by maintaining a visible presence at designated access control posts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and delivery personnel to provide customer service and address inquiries related to access control.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe for security-related concerns, with duties and routes determined by client site requirements.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
