Position Overview :

HumanEdge Health is seeking a Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in an inpatient substance abuse treatment facility for adults 18+. This is a 12-hour night shift position with weekends and holidays as assigned. The ideal candidate is experienced in CIWA / COWS assessments, urine drug screens , and maintaining firm, empathic boundaries with patients.

Facility / Unit Details :

Patient Population : Adults, voluntary admissions

Beds : 50 (20 female / 30 male)

Nurse / Patient Ratio : 1 nurse on night shift

7p-11p : 2-3 Behavioral Health Assistants (techs)

11p-7a : 1 tech

Security : No on-site security; Admin and physician on call at all times

Visiting Hours : Sundays, 1-4 PM

Schedule :

Shift : Nights, 12-hour shifts (7p-7a)

Weekends / Holidays : Assigned as needed

Responsibilities :

Provide psychiatric nursing care to patients in an inpatient substance abuse treatment setting

Conduct CIWA and COWS assessments and administer appropriate interventions

Perform urine drug screens (UAs)

Establish and maintain firm, empathic boundaries with patients

Collaborate with behavioral health assistants, administration, and on-call physicians

Document all patient care accurately in the EHR (HCS) system

Participate in orientation, ongoing training, and patient care planning

Requirements :

License : Active RN license

Experience : Minimum 12 months in an inpatient rehab or psych / substance abuse setting

Certifications : BLS and CPI

Preferred : Additional psych experience

EMR : HCS
