Position Overview

The role involves collaborating with electrical engineers, mathematicians, and computer scientists to design and deliver custom digital signal processing solutions and communication systems in support of U.S. national security efforts. Key Responsibilities
Contribute to small, collaborative project teams focused on the full life cycle of communications systems : concept development, analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
Develop algorithms, interface with hardware, design graphical user interfaces, and support database development as part of implementation work.
Ensure deliverables follow best practices, including clear documentation, structured code, and thorough testing.
Engage directly with customers and end users to understand needs and refine solutions.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related discipline.
Hands-on experience with scientific programming using C, C++, or a comparable high-level language on Unix / Linux platforms.
Solid foundation in digital signal processing (DSP) or communications theory.
Active TS / SCI Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, or a related technical field.
5+ years of applied experience in system development and deployment.
Familiarity with X-Midas or MATLAB.
Relevant Background (any of the following is a plus)
LIDAR theory, applications, or simulation work
Satellite communications systems
Cellular network communications
Wireless protocols (modern standards)
RF system design and development
Electronic warfare technologies
Advanced modulation techniques
Algorithm creation and optimization
Signal geolocation methods
Signal conditioning techniques
Interference cancellation approaches
