Security Officer Unarmed Retail Bike Patrol

As a Security Officer Unarmed Retail Bike Patrol in Pasadena, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible throughout the location, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy being active and engaging with the public, while upholding our values of agility, reliability, teamwork, and integrity.

Pay Rate : $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

Wednesday 10 : 00 AM - 06 : 30 PM

Thursday 10 : 00 AM - 06 : 30 PM

Friday 10 : 00 AM - 06 : 30 PM

Saturday 10 : 00 AM - 06 : 30 PM

Sunday 10 : 00 AM - 06 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail and mall location, including both business interiors and surrounding perimeters.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and report any security-related concerns or incidents to Allied Universal management and / or local authorities as required.
  • Assist with access control by observing entrances and exits, and verifying identification as needed.
  • Document and report all security-related activities and incidents according to Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Support the overall security-related operations of the retail and mall location by maintaining a visible presence and helping to deter potential issues.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to ride a bike.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
