As a member of the kitchen and school operations team, youll assist with preparing delicious, nutritious food and maintaining a clean and healthy school environment. Make a difference every day.

Encourage healthy eating habits through delicious and nutritious foods.

Maintain a keen awareness of children who have allergies and food restrictions.

Follow the daily menu prepared in collaboration with the School Chef.

Assist with food orders, menu preparation, dishes, inventory and cleaning.

Support other school housekeeping needs as assigned.

Manage all kitchen responsibilities in the absence of the School Chef.

Qualifications :

Must meet basic requirements of the EEC background record check process

Ability to relate positively to young children is essential

Prior experience in quantity food preparation and working in a kitchen environment

Kitchen certifications (Serv Safe, Allergen Awareness) a plus

Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
