As a member of the kitchen and school operations team, youll assist with preparing delicious, nutritious food and maintaining a clean and healthy school environment.   • Encourage healthy eating habits through delicious and nutritious foods.
  • Maintain a keen awareness of children who have allergies and food restrictions.
  • Follow the daily menu prepared in collaboration with the School Chef.
  • Assist with food orders, menu preparation, dishes, inventory and cleaning.
  • Support other school housekeeping needs as assigned.
  • Manage all kitchen responsibilities in the absence of the School Chef.

    Qualifications :

  • Must meet basic requirements of the EEC background record check process
  • Ability to relate positively to young children is essential
  • Prior experience in quantity food preparation and working in a kitchen environment
  • Kitchen certifications (Serv Safe, Allergen Awareness) a plus
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
