A New York City-based law firm is seeking a seasoned litigation attorney with significant experience in mortgage foreclosure matters. This partner-level opportunity is ideal for a legal professional who is ready to take ownership of a foreclosure caseload, contribute to firm leadership, and bring an existing book of business to a supportive and resource-rich environment. The position offers the flexibility of remote or hybrid work with access to office space in the Financial District.

Duties

Take full responsibility for managing mortgage foreclosure cases from initiation through conclusion

Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents

Represent clients in hearings, trials, depositions, and other court proceedings

Maintain ongoing communication with clients regarding legal strategies and case progress

Collaborate with internal legal teams and support staff to ensure timely and efficient case management

Conduct legal research to support litigation strategy

Utilize case management systems to track deadlines and ensure compliance

Requirements

Active license to practice law in New York

Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in mortgage foreclosure litigation

Familiarity with legal practice management tools such as LPS / Black Knight and Tempo

Demonstrated ability to manage a full caseload independently

Outstanding organizational and time-management skills

Must possess an existing book of business

Admission to the New Jersey Bar is a plus

Education

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

Admission to the New York State Bar (required)

New Jersey Bar admission (preferred)
