Women of Color On The Move (WOCOTM) is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women, girls, and families through education, advocacy, leadership, and community programs. We focus on promoting social justice, mental health awareness, and equity across underserved communities worldwide.

Position Overview :

The Social Media Copywriter will play a key role in shaping WOCOTM’s online presence by creating engaging, mission-driven content for our social media platforms. This volunteer will collaborate with the marketing team to craft compelling posts, campaigns, and storytelling content that amplify WOCOTM’s initiatives, attract new supporters, and build meaningful engagement with our audience.

Key Responsibilities :

Write clear, creative, and persuasive copy for all social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X / Twitter, and TikTok).

• Collaborate with the communications and design teams to align visuals and messages.
• Develop captions, headlines, and hashtags that reflect WOCOTM’s voice, values, and initiatives.
• Adapt content tone and style for different platforms and audiences.
• Assist in developing content calendars and campaign strategies.
• Research current social trends, hashtags, and engagement techniques to increase reach.
• Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand standards.
• Contribute ideas for new storytelling formats, campaigns, and digital engagement strategies.
• Able to used A1 tools
• Able to used Microsoft 365 platform

Qualifications :

Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
