Purpose :

The Assistant Branch Manager (ABM) supports branch operations and ensures an exceptional member experience by partnering closely with the Branch Manager and frontline staff. This role balances daily operations, team development, and member engagement through coaching, collaboration, and service excellence. The ABM performs both leadership and member service functions-assisting with account openings, financial solutions, and operational oversight-while promoting Prospera Credit Union's Brand Promise and Accountability Equation : Actions + Behaviors = You + Me.

We currently have an opportunity as an Assistant Branch Manager at our Ballard Location :

  • Wage : Minimum of $25.00 / hour starting
  • Hours : 40 hours per week
  • Schedule : Must be available to work within the hours of 8 : 15AM - 5 : 15PM weekdays
  • Weekend Schedule : Must be available to work on Saturdays from 8 : 45AM - 12 : 15PM (rotational with other branch staff)
  • Location : Ballard Branch, 4830 N Ballard Rd, Appleton, WI 54913
  • Premium Pay : Additional $1.00 per weekend hours worked

    • Job Responsibilities :

    Member Experience & Service

  • Build relationships and engage members in meaningful financial conversations.
  • Open and maintain memberships and specialty accounts (IRAs, HSAs, CDs, etc.).
  • Support members with account needs, credit reviews, and notary services.
  • Educate members on Prospera's digital tools (mobile banking, ITM, bill pay, etc.).
  • Make referrals to internal partners to deepen member relationships.
  • Resolve account issues and provide teller overrides when needed.

    • Operations & Administration

  • Maintain branch equipment, cash, cash orders, and supplies
  • Schedule staff, manage timecards, and approve time-off requests.
  • Ensure compliance with Risk and Operations checklists.

    • Leadership & Coaching

  • Train and coach staff to provide outstanding service and meet goals.
  • Foster a positive, motivating, and accountable team culture.
  • Participate in hiring, performance reviews, and staff development.
  • Address policy or performance concerns with professionalism and collaboration.
  • Communicate key operational issues and ensure adherence to Prospera policies.

  • Compliance : Ensure all actions align with BSA, CIP, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Performance Goals : Partner with Branch Manager to achieve branch goals.

    • Education & Experience :

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 3 - 5 years of related experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

    • Skills :

  • Passion for people and service excellence.
  • Strong math, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication, leadership, and coaching abilities.
  • High level of integrity, trust, and professionalism.
  • Proficient in computer systems and accurate data entry.
