Fitzgerald Peterbilt currently employs over 150 employees throughout our various locations that include Huntsville, Birmingham and Montgomery in Alabama, Bristol and Fancy Gap in Virginia and in Cookeville, Tennessee.

Position Summary :

The Job at a glance :

  • Diagnose and repair heavy duty trucks, heavy haul trucks.
  • The ability to explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers on an as-required basis.
  • The desire to continuously learn new technical information and techniques in training.
  • Assist fellow technicians / mechanics in performing technical activities.
  • Adhere to all company policy, procedure, safety and environmental rules.

Qualifications :

  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • Diesel Certification preferred (or equal hands on verifiable work experience)
  • Must have own tools
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • CDL preferred but not required
